Cancer Diagnostics Tools Launched by Dako

The Flex RTU, a set of ready-to-use set of antibodies, was introduced to the market. The panel, for cancer diagnostic testing, is the most clinically relevant antibody portfolio available of the market. It is also the largest antibody portfolio available, manufactured by Dako. The antibody package was described in a press release issued by Dako.

These antibodies can be utilized to diagnose the most commonly occurring types of malignancies including melanoma, prostate, lung, colon, and breast. This solution provides clinical laboratories with a system that links together reagents, instruments, software, and knowledge to support diagnosis.

The set of 61 ready-to-use antibodies and two negative controls have unique staining performance developed through collaborations with well known pathologists from across the globe. Laboratory and system efficiency is improved by minimizing the amount of hands on time required by staff members. Productivity is also supported by a system that decreases the time from completion of testing until a final diagnosis is made. Patient safety is supported by a reduced number of system errors.

Additional features of the system include improved performance of the company’s Autostainer classic and Autostainer Link instruments. Reagents can be traced from the start through the end of the workflow process. Workflow processes can also be integrated though parallel processing, which is supported with the Flex RTU.
