HIV Panel Launched
AcroMetrix launched a new product for patients with HIV, the OptiQuant HIV-1 Quantification Panel. The product uses the company’s human plasma matrix for analysis. The company highlights their commitment, represented by this new product, to standardization in diagnostic tools and quality control through development of universal standards. The launch was described by MedCompare.
The OptiQuant uses an EDTA-based normal human plasma matrix for analysis. The product is currently limited to use in the research setting, rather for diagnostic testing. The matrix component of the product, the company’s OptiMatrix, provides for a panel that most closely mirrors the sample for a patient.
The test system is also commutable; this ensures accurate comparison and compatibility between a varied series of testing platforms across the world. The system also incorporates the directly traceable International Units per milliliter (IU/mL), which ensures quality across the globe based on ISO standards (specifically ISO 17511:2003).
AcroMetrix has facilities in the California and the Netherlands. The company develops serologic and molecular diagnostic quality control products compliant with ongoing regulations that guide quality.
