New Blood Gas Analyzer Available
Radiometer’s new Blood Gas Analyzer received marketing clearance by the Food and Drug Administration. The new ABL80 Flex CO-OX is a portable system that provides clinicians with key information about patient’s oxygenation status. Clearance of the device was described on FDA News.
The system monitors a complete blood gas profile including blood gases, glucose, pH, electrolytes, and other vital CO-oximetry parameters. Other data delivered by the system includes oxygen transport, release, and uptake.
The company organizes the process to test blood oxygenation into three distinct components. Those include process analysis to determine a facility’s individual needs, recommendation of the ideal solution, and ongoing QA support with systems delivered.
The company incorporates wavelength technology for measurement support. This is linked with an ultrasonic process to complete hemolyzation.
Radiometer develops solutions to manage the processes involved in blood gas assessment. The team develops unique instruments, along with information technology solutions and sampling products.
