New Glucose Monitors from Home Diagnostics Cleared
Two new blood glucose monitors manufactured by Home Diagnostics, Incorporated were given the green light for marketing by the Food and Drug Administration. The TRUEresult is a simplified system designed to use at home. The TRUE2go, alternatively, is now the smallest glucose monitor available.
Both the devices incorporate the company’s no-coding technology. This makes testing of blood glucose simpler by eliminating the need to recode the meter each time a new box test strips is utilized.
An additional benefit of these is a smaller sample of blood, 0.5 microliters, required for glucose assessment. These features improve the convenience of monitoring.
The systems also incorporate tools which support testing accuracy. The company’s new TRUEtest platform of test strips have the company’s Goldsensor laser accuracy, as well as the TRUEfill beveled tip. Both of these ensure accuracy and mitigate the requirement for multiple tests.
Device testing by the company completed validates the accuracy and repeatability of the two new monitors. Other data notes that both are easy to use. These features are intended to provide diabetics with the means to better control blood glucose.
Home Diagnostics specializes exclusively in the development of tools to manage diabetes. The company offers at least six different blood glucose monitoring systems.
