Home Monitoring Platform Under Development

Royal Philips Electronics and Misys Healthcare Systems have partnered to create a software platform that supports remote patient monitoring.

Philips already has an existing array of products used in Europe for home care monitoring. The varied offerings provide different levels of monitoring and communication.

Misys has a body of software applications and visibility in the homecare industry, which should support a consumer base for the new products.

These types of devices and applications are becoming increasingly attractive with an aging population in the U.S. along with a growing group with chronic health conditions. Such devices improve monitoring, which should result in better outcomes.
