LifeSaver EMR May Be a Lifesaver

It also includes contact info, patient identifiers, and insurance information. The USB device can provide healthcare personnel critical information in the event the device owner is unable to speak for himself. Information is easily accessible and can be printed for ease of use by clinicians.

The devices offers owners a medical diary which can be updated with ongoing medical information, such as tracking glucose levels for diabetics. It also contains an appointment book for tracking medical visits.

In addition to potential applications for the battlefield and patients with cognitive disorders, the device may be of use for individuals with allergies or health conditions that require attention in the emergency setting.
