Welch Allyn Notification System Shared

Welch Allyn launched their alarm notification system, the AcuityLink, that can be used with handheld, wireless devices.

The system directly alerts the individual caring for a specific patient rather than initiating a broad alert. The system also notifies caregivers with escalation for life critical alarms and can be used to monitor moving waveforms for one or multiple patients.

The system can be updated to include software from other vendors, to accomodate support of multiple devices with the same handheld.

One intent of the device is to reduce alarm fatigue, which diminshes caregiver responsiveness.
