Arizona RHIO Contracts with Mosaica Partners
The rural regional health information organization being developed across Arizona will have support from Mosaica Partners, a consulting firm. The contract was completed by the State’s Government Information Technology Agency (GITA), noted the report posted by Health Data Management.
Mosaica Partners supports information exchange activities in the healthcare sector. Efforts previously completed to support these activities include creation of a methodology to support the creation of governance structures, privacy and security considerations, and means to procure sustainable funding. Other tools available from the firm include means to identify value propositions for stakeholders and community and education development.
In pursuit of developing health information organizations, the GITA released a request for proposals to support planning grants for rural communities. The nine month awards will support capacity building and planning efforts, along with other key activities required to commence regional health information organizations. GITA expects to award between three and seven grants, totaling $800,000.
