CA Health System Signs With QuadraMed

QuadraMed completed a $15.8 million contract with the Daughters of Charity Health System (DCHS) to expand the existing enterprise care management system. DCHS has a five hospital network that is based in Los Altos Hills, California.

DCHS previously completed a $6.7 million deal with QuadraMed for installation of the QCPR integrated medication management system from QuadraMed. That project was completed at the end of November 2006.

Through the completion of this contract, QuadraMed will acquire the services and software required for the new QCPR platform planned.

The tools required include order management, clinical decision support, chart management, access management, and interactive care-grid. Additional components of the software include electronic document management, computerized physician order entry, patient registration, scheduling, and medical records.

DCHS previously had a contract with Misys Healthcare System. This contract was terminated after DCHS recognized the utility of the QuadraMed product line after the company purchased the CPR product from Misys last year.
