Colorado Foundation Supports IT Integration with Grant Funding
The Colorado Health Foundation released a Request for Proposals to support expansion of Health Information Technology (HIT) throughout the state. The intent of the multi-year grant program is to improve care for the underserved by increasing efficiency in healthcare delivery.
The grants support financial and technology underpinnings that may limit HIT adoption in underserved communities. The non-profit organization based in Denver completed an extensive needs assessment to identify factors limiting HIT integration. This multi-year program earmarked $2.5 million for projects this year. Grant guidelines (pdf) are available on the Foundation’s website.
