Grants for EHRs Offered to Practices in Florida
Sevocity is offering small and midsize physician practices, as well as community health centers in Florida with subsidies, “research grants”, to support deployment of the company’s software. These will allow practices to pay a decreased price to purchase the tool.
The company plans to spend more than $50,000 to support these smaller physician practices. The intent is to increase the presence of the company across the State. Sevocity is based in San Antonio, Texas.
For those practices that opt to purchase the system with the grant support, the reduced fee to use the system will continue over three years. In return, practices must agree that Sevocity can conduct data mining with the EHRs. Data will be collected from those to evaluate patient flow. The company intends to use this effort to support future enhancements to the Sevocity EHR system.
Sevocity is a vendor of an electronic health records system. The company provides their electronic health records software through an application service provider computing model.
