ProHEALTH Adopts GE Tools
ProHEALTH Care Associates will deploy the Centricity Electronic Medical Record system from GE Healthcare. The multi-specialty patient care group will spend $4.4 million to update their IT infrastructure. A press release detailing the contract execution was published on the GE website.
The practice, one of the largest multi-specialty practices across New York State, will also adopt the GE Discovery PET/CT system, the Centricity Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), along with the billing and RIS IT solutions from GE. These new acquisitions mesh with other recent capital acquisitions by ProHEALTH.
The goal of system deployment is to support patient care management and streamline workflow across the practice. Overall, the systems will help smooth operations and consolidate technology solutions under the GE auspices.
The practice originally intended to update billing systems when solutions were initially investigated. In reviewing available options, including complementary tools to work with those already acquired, the practice noted the benefits of implementing all these tools across the specialties and practices under the ProHEALTH umbrella.
