Swissray Partners Awarded VA Contracts for Monitors
A number of Veterans Affairs facilities, as well as the Naval base in Balboa, California completed contracts with Swissray International for new flat panel monitors. The new facilities will each implement the flat panel DR systems available from the provider of digital radiography technology. The news was announced on the Swissray website in a press release.
One of the features that is included in the Swissray system is APS, Automated Positioning System. These systems facilitate rapid throughput and simultaneously reduce the amount of radiation exposure to patients. Improvements in workflow are afforded by automation of image acquisition and positioning requirements for the system.
The company previously received an award from Frost and Sullivan, the 2008 North American Single Detector Digital Radiography Product Innovation of the Year Award. The award was granted in light of the company’s new digital radiography system, the ddRCompact series. Launch of that product was previously described on HospitalBuyer.
