Apollo Health Street Acquires Zavata, Inc.
Apollo Health Street (AHS) announced on August 30th that they are acquiring (pdf) Zavata, Incorporated. Zavata provides Enterprise Support and Business Process Outsourcing for organizations in the healthcare industry. Financing for the deal was completed by the Bank of India and Barclays Capital. The plans were detailed in a press release from Zavata.
This acquisition will position Apollo as one of the largest Business Process Outsourcing organizations for the healthcare industry throughout the world. A significant portion of their existing business is dedicated to information technology products. Solutions offered following the integration of Zavata will be expanded, specifically emergency medical transport and full business office billing.
HS has gained some attention in the field because of the exclusive focus on working solely with healthcare clients. This focus has fostered development of expertise within the industry on developing global delivery modal solutions to this business segment.
The company provides services to a range of clients within the industry, from insurance companies to the private sector, as well as healthcare providers. Other clients include public health agencies and government entities.
he goal of the AHS business is to help clients improve quality, reduce client costs, and increase process efficiencies. The organization has employees in both New Jersey and India.
