Cardinal Sells Recently Acquires MedSystems

Cardinal Health announced the recently finalized sale of the MedSystems business to a private equity firm based in Chicago, Linden LLC. MedSystems was acquired by Cardinal Health last year when the company purchased VIASYS Healthcare.

MedSystems develops surgical protection products and enteral device. These products are primarily used in the NICU, PICU, and ICU settings in hospitals. The company’s Stackhouse Division also develops smoke evacuation products.  It has been renamed by the Team at Linden, Corpak MedSystems, Incorporated.

Cardinal cited that MedSystems does not fit into the existing clinical and medical products business of Cardinal. The company suggests that MedSystems will most likely to continue to thrive under the leadership of Linden.
