CardioDigital Technology Purchased by Covidien

Covidien recently announced the purchase of the technology assets from CardioDigital Technology, Incorporated. CardioDigital specializes in the development of techniques for advanced signal processing. The terms of the deal were not publicly shared.

Covidien plans to integrate these assets into the company’s Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions business. These technologies will integrate well with the company’s existing Nellcor pulse oximetry platform.

The company suggests that the acquisition will offer a broader array of innovative tools to support improved patient outcomes. In particular, these tools can be utilized to support patient monitoring systems.

Covidien specializes in the development of medical solutions to improve value and patient outcomes. The company’s business is divided into four different segments: Imaging Solutions, Medical Supplies, Medical Devices, and Pharmaceutical Products. The company’s products are sold all over the world.
