Healthvision Merged with Quovadx
Quovadx announced their acquisition (pdf) of Healthvision, a health information exchange organization that provides means to connect healthcare providers, including labs, physicians, and hospitals, with their patients.
The two organizations have a longstanding partnership which extends over five years. Through that collaboration, they provided clients with Cloverleaf, an integrated solution for information exchange. This solution is a key component of Healthvision’s ehealth interoperability platform. With the combined assets of the two organizations, more complete product offerings will be available to clients of both companies, now integrated as one.
Healthvision links together healthcare communities through the creation of information exchange networks. Quovadx, a healthcare information technology company, has a business goal of providing optimal IT interoperability in the healthcare arena, as well as leveraging existing technology systems and improving business process efficiency.
The expansion of Quovadx through the acquisition of Healthvision will provide services for more than 23,000 clinicians, 2,000 hospitals, 250 extended healthcare communities, and millions of healthcare consumers. Moreover, it enables the company to leverage its position in a healthcare market that is rapidly evolving.
