OSF HealthPlans Purchased

Humana Incorporated announced that they have acquired OSF HealthPlans, Incorporated. The company was purchased from OSF Saint Francis and detailed in a news release issued by Humana.

OSF HealthPlan is a managed care company based in Peoria, Illinois. The acquisition will broaden the range of health plans available from Humana.

Additional tools that will be acquired through the purchase include cutting-edge interactive tools and specialty products. These additional assets will support Humana’s goal of improving the overall health benefits of consumers and providing them with additional resources for guidance.

Humana is one of the biggest health and supplemental benefits companies in the nation that is publicly traded. Approximately 11.4 million people are covered by Humana.
