Verispan Purchased by SDI

Verispan has been acquired by SDI. Verispan provides healthcare information and services. The combination of the two companies together creates a very extensive, longitudinal database including information that is all de-identified. This is considered the most comprehensive database in the healthcare industry.

By acquiring Verispan, SDI is broadening the company’s array of solution suites with particular attention to improving outcomes and reducing costs. SDI further notes the comprehensive systems from the two companies suited to meet a broader array of needs to complete healthcare data and analysis.

SDI provides a range of products for companies in the biotech, medical device, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries. The company is particularly noted for providing de-identified data at the patient level. The system also provides treatment and disease surveillance in real-time.
