New Healthcare Website Launch

A new healthcare website, RevolutionHealth.com, will is starting activity this week after a few months of so-called public “beta” testing. The effort is spearheaded by Stephen Case, the founder of America Online. The parent company is Revolution Health Group, created in 2005.

The goal, according to the information technology tycoon, is to establish a new brand name in healthcare that consumers trust, explore, and fully utilize. One feature of the site will allow users to create their own web pages and store health information, which they may choose to share with other users. At this point, the biggest competitor is WebMD Health. Other sites popular with healthcare consumers include NIH.gov, Yahoo Health, MayoClinic.com, and About.com Health.
