New CEO for WiFiMed
Gregory Vacca was appointed the President and Chief Executive Officer of WiFiMed Holdings Company. He will also temporarily serve as the acting Chief Financial Officer. The news was printed in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
WiFiMed develops wireless patient information technology. Their most widely distributed product is the Tablet MD, a tablet PC that grants healthcare providers a workflow management tool. The product design includes considerations to maintain HIPAA regulations, supporting documentation efforts, decrease overhead costs, and reduce medical errors.
JMJ Technologies, Incorporated was recently acquired by WiFiMed’s business unit EncounterPRO Healthcare Resources, Incorporated. Mr. Vacca was their CEO and President. JMJ specialized in the development of EHR workflow management solutions. The organization received numerous accolades for their work in software development for the healthcare environment.
Mr. Vacca is replacing Jeffrey Simon, who announced his resignation earlier this month. Mr. Simon plans to stay on with the company as a consultant.
