Novation, which provides contracting services for VHA, Provista, and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) completed an agreement with Emageon. Emageon will provide members with cardiovascular PACS services and products, described on the Emageon website.

Included among the products within the contract are the HeartSuite VERICIS cardiovascular image and information management solution (CVIIS), that includes both software and hardware services. Additionally included in the deal is the company’s supply project management system, IS/IT and systems interfacing, installation.

The contract commences February 1st of next year. This will continue through April 30th, 2010. The deal additionally includes two options each for one-year extension periods.

Novation is a healthcare contracting services company. It fulfills contracts for VHA and UHC, which collectively include 2,500 members. Both organizations are national healthcare alliances. Provista, previously Healthcare Purchasing Partners International, has over 10,000 customers.

Emageon provides enterprise medical information technology systems for both healthcare networks and hospitals. Emageon’s family of products includes RadSuite, HeartSuite, and additional specialty suites. RadSuite Express was created in cooperation with Dell.
