Inverness to Purchase Cholestech
On June 4th, Inverness Medical Innovations announced that it will purchase Cholestech Corporation. The deal entails approximately $326 million in stocks.
Inverness manufactures medical tests, as does Cholestech. Cholestech’s portfolio also includes diagnostic tests, especially for monitoring cholesterol.
Cholestech, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, must still procure the support of shareholders before finalizing plans. The deal is expected to complete in the fall.
