Asset Tracking Tool from Xmark Launched

Xmark Corporation launched a new asset tracking system that incorporates RFID technology and is specifically created for the healthcare setting.

The system is intentionally designed to support flexibility in the application of asset tracking. The Assetrac can be organized to cover specific areas of a healthcare facility or support location tracking throughout the entire campus.

Assetrac works within the existing technological infrastructure at an institution, which can minimize the costs associated with system implementation. Further, it can be organized to operate with other existing tools that support materials management activities, such as Wi-Fi.

Xmark has over twenty-five years of market experience creating and manufacturing asset management tools for the healthcare environment and using RFID technology.

This system may be an attractive option for facilities considering implementation of RFID systems to support materials management and asset tracking. Launching a program in a particular department, a limited deployment, allows for an institutional assessment of proof of concept and potential cost savings.
