CliniComp System Certified by DOD

The Department of Defense delivered the Essentris 1.4.2 with an Approval to Operate (ATO) certification (pdf). News of the certification was posted on the CliniComp website, the organization that created the system.

The ATO certification is a stringent requirement set forth by the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process. This requires that systems meet strict security requirements and can then receive the ATO.

The ATO will give military hospitals the permission to both install and connect with the most recent version of the Essentris system, which promotes use of the current computerized patient record system to the information technology network.

Essentris was designed for both in- and outpatient environments. Supports functions include managing orders, patient charting, and analyzing data. The system also provides clinical decision support in real time. CliniComp designs multidisciplinary surveillance and charting solutions.
