Dome Imaging System Purchased by NDSsi

NDS Surgical Imaging announced the purchase of Dome Imaging Systems, a business segment of Planar Systems, Incorporated. Dome develops display projects used for patient care applications and diagnostic imaging.

The addition of the tools and technologies from Dome will expand the breadth of medical visualization services available from NDSsi that incorporate advanced informatics. With the new resources from Dome, NDSsi can link together surgical informatics and imaging with PACS. It is also hoped that this collaboration will improve the clinical confidence of OEM customers and practitioners.

Tools from the two companies are primarily geared toward use in Radiology and Surgery. NDS specializes in creation of visualization systems for surgical applications.
