Environmentally Image Storage Introduced by Nexsan and GE

A new collaboration to develop environmentally friendly systems for the storage of imaging records was recently formed by Nexsan and GE Healthcare. The two companies plan to develop systems to store, capture, process, and archive images for both hospitals and other healthcare facilities. The partnership was described in a press release from GE Healthcare.

Nexsan is a well-recognized provider of energy-efficient long-term storage. The company’s resources will be integrated with the healthcare information technology tools available from GE Healthcare.

GE certified the Nexsan green storage systems along with the Centricity PACS-IW imaging solution. Among the Nexsan products certified by GE are the Nexsan line of SATA high-density storage solutions and the Assureon product. The Assureon tool is intended to provide long-term management and storage for fixed content.

A range of intelligent, secure archive storage solutions are available from Nexsan. Those tools offer scalability, performance, and high availability within a fully integrated disk-based storage system. These are recognized for energy efficiency components which are superior to other available systems.
