Essentris Wins Contract with Tenet
The Essentris Perinatal system of CliniComp Internationl will be deployed at a number of Tenet hospitals (pdf) in labor and delivery units. Three different modules are included in the software: maternal charting, fetal surveillance, and neonatal ICU management.
St. Mary’s Medical Center in Florida deployed the system as part of a pilot. The pilot included a unique system configuration designed by representatives from Tenet along with CliniComp staff. The solution supports clinical workflow management across the entire care continuum.
Already nine Tenet hospitals have deployed the system. Seven additional facilities that will adopt the system during the next two years has. Additional facilities will also replace their current documentation process with the Essentris Perinatal system.
The Essentris system was designed to support the reporting requirements from the Joint Commission. Documentation is completed in compliance with best practice models. A uniform documentation system is supported by the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American College of Pediatrics.
CliniComp specializes in the development of clinical surveillance solutions and an intelligent patient eletronic medical record. One area that these solutions focus on is extension of health information systems to the point-of-care.
