Free Software Licenses Available from RemedyMD
RemedyMD is making free licenses available to their ambulatory clinic customers and patients of such for the company’s electronic health record (EHR) solution and practice management software. A description of the program is available on the company’s website, which is set to commence September 1st.
The organization cites the low rate of EHR adoption among many healthcare providers, noting that approximately 15% of practices have such systems in place. Recognizing the financial constraints of implementing such systems, RemedyMD is providing this no-cost offering of their product line. They hope that this will foster increased adoption of EMRs by removing cost considerations. Further, the organization suggests that this will encourage efforts to collect more patient data for research and evaluation, which offers an opportunity to improve patient care and healthcare outcomes.
The company’s EZ Office product line includes tools to address four components of the business of patient care: patient relationship management, operational services management, revenue cycle management, and clinical services management. Healthcare practices that opt to implement this system can choose the software modules from EZOffice that meet their needs to support optimization of workflow. The organization’s EHR was developed to meet the needs of specialty practices.
In the meantime, RemedyMD has been working on solutions that capture data from their EHRs and other data sources to evaluate analytic and predictive power describing treatment effects. The company released such a product, Mosiac Platform, earlier this year.
Mosiac is an optimized research tool that harnesses available data to improve patient outcomes through the development of predictive models. One of the most powerful features of the Mosiac Platform is the system’s ability to translate data from a variety of different sources and in distinct formats into a unified database. This capability to aggregate disparate data sets allows investigation of large datasets from multiple sources. The platform also includes tools to support data analysis, including trend identification, without requiring the development of new programs to investigate inquiry.
