McKesson Nets Three Hospital Install with Nueterra
The Paragon clinical/financial community hospital information system from McKesson is the solution of choice for Nueterra Healthcare. The solution will be deployed at three new hospitals under construction in three different states that the organization is building.
The Paragon system offers a complete electronic health record system along with a financial management tool. The electronic billing process and charting system streamlines workflow. In addition, this allows clinicians access to information at the point of care, supporting decision-making.
The three facilities will also adopt Horizon medical imaging from McKesson. This is a picture archiving and communications system (PACS). This system allows clinicians secure access to medical images electronically, supporting more rapid review and decreasing the time to treatment delivery.
The executives from Nueterra note that one advantage of the Paragon system is flexibility. This system can thus meet the distinct needs of different community hospitals. One of the factors supported by the Paragon system is sharing and documenting patient information to support delivery of high quality healthcare.
