New Cognitive Testing Device Introduced for Seniors
Dakim, Inc. developed a new computerized device to assess cognitive ability, specifically intended for use in seniors. The Power Cognitive Fitness System requires no technical prowess from users with its 17-inch touchscreen monitor. The software uses facial recognition to identify system users and, thus, limits the amount of supervision.
The program engages users with cognitive activities such as games and puzzles. The program is capable of modulating content based on user responses; with more complex testing offered to individuals with higher cognitive capabilities. Users with cognitive deficits, such as Alzheimer’s, complete simpler tasks.
