New Solution Supports RAC
To support completion of the new Recovery Audit Contractor(RAC) program from Medicare, HealthPort launched a new solution. The tool, HealthPart RACPro, supports planning for, tracking, and dealing with RAC audits.
The tool is a cost efficient system to support preparedness and is capable of supporting all types of RAC review. The system incorporates a tracking and analysis application that is web-based. The web-based platform is an efficient means to process medical record requests. It also includes an automated process for medical record fulfillment and preparedness consulting services.
The RAC program from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is intended to both identify and recover improper payments to healthcare providers. Initiation of this program creates a new array of cash flow, administrative, and compliance issues for healthcare facilities.
HealthPort offers an array of services for healthcare organizations including electronic document management, practice management, healthcare consulting services, revenue cycle management, electronic medical record, and document conversion and storage services.
