Online Record Request System Launched

eHealthConnect, an online system to request medical records from outside institutions, was launched by eHealth Global Technologies. Availability of the new product was described by Health Imaging.

The new tool includes customizable forms created for any healthcare facility that is an eHealth customer. The tool also generates the required forms for release of information to ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

To utilize the system, eHealth customers log on to a secure portal on the eHealth website. There a form can be accessed that is customized to the distinct requirements of a given facility. eHealthConnect can be further customized to include a provider list, as well as updating the specific preferences of different users.
