PatientKeeper Inks Deal with Catholic Health Initiatives
PatientKeeper and Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) completed a contract wherein the healthcare system will implement the PatientKeeper information systems. News of the contract was detailed on the PatientKeeper website.
Four different PatientKeeper systems will be deployed, including the Portal, Mobile Clinical Results, eSignature, and Downtime. All of the software has been integrated to work efficiently and effectively for each clinician by leveraging all the data from the different health information systems operating at each of the facilities. CHI opted to deploy these solutions to support medication safety efforts and physician affinity.
One particularly useful feature of the PatientKeeper solutions is single sign-on to access all the different information systems that clinicians access in the conduct of patient care. Additional software components provide clinicians with access to clinical records from any location within the healthcare facility or remotely using a Smartphone.
Catholic Health Initiatives is based in Denver. The first facility to implement and deploy the PatientKeeper products was Saint Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. The organization includes 73 different hospitals, in addition to 42 other facilities for long-term care, independent and assisted living. CHI additionally operates two community based health organizations that have locations across 19 states. Over 65,000 people are employed by CHI.
