Technology Supports CAD Diagnosis
Rcadia Medical Imaging, Ltd. received FDA approval (pdf) for COR Analyzer I, computer-assisted software to evaluate CT Angiography, which identifies patients with coronary artery disease (CAD).
This tool can quickly identify patients with chest pain who require more extensive cardiac evaluation and, thus, conversely determine which patients do not require expensive and time consuming testing. The test has both high sensitivity and specificity.
The tool has been implemented in emergency rooms to speed assessment, diagnosis, and patient triage.
