Uninterrupted Power Supply Available from GE DigitalEnergy
GE DigitalEnergy announced the availability of a new tool to ensure the availability of ongoing power for data systems, the new 750kVA SG series digital energy uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
The system is noted for providing improved efficiency with a smaller system profile. The new iteration offers 2.5 percent increase for both data centers and mission critical facilities. Maximum efficiency is almost 95 percent and the system footprint is 30 percent smaller.
The system operates with a double conversion mode that includes continuous on-line voltage and frequency independent operation. The SG series also incorporates the company’s Intelligent Energy Management tools. This feature determines the optimal mode for running the Redundant Parallel Architecture System.
The new system is entirely compatible with all full GE or non-GE systems. It does not require an input isolation transformer and also offers front service access. These features reduce installation, maintenance, and costs for repair.
Management of the system can be achieved with a digital energy exclusive UPS that has a non-proprietary service architecture or an existing network management system, as described in the 24×7 Weekly Jolt.
