Wireless System Synchronizes Clocks

A new wireless tool from Primex Wireless, Incorporated can synchronize the clocks and timers across a healthcare system’s entire enterprise.

The Synchronous Network system from Primex employs an 802.11 wireless network or Ethernet and is managed through a web browser. Network time protocol is utilized to both synchronize clocks that are on the network and allow two-way communication with each clock.

This tool is available as either a subscription-based application service provider computing model or a traditional licensed software tool. Features of the Synchronous Network system include altering, monitoring, and reporting to support system maintenance with a proactive approach.

The primary benefit of this system is improved accuracy of all the clocks across the healthcare system. This decreases liability in the critical care setting. It also supports increased efficiency with respect to billing for surgical procedures.
