ASHE Organizations Doles Out Awards for Energy Efficiency
The American Hospital Association’s member organization the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) announced winners of their awards for Energy Efficiency Commitment (E2C). A press release from ASHE detailed the award recipients.
The awards were doled out to healthcare facilities (building owners) who reduced their consumption of energy by at least ten percent over a twelve month period. Recipients include the following facilities:
- Children’s Hospital Central California - Madera, CA
- Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center - New York, NY
- Greenwich Hospital - Greenwich, CT
- The Helmsley Medical Tower - New York, NY
- Mercy Health Center - Oklahoma City, OK
- Mercy Hospital Valley City - Valley City, ND
- New York - Presbyterian Medical Center -New York, NY
- New York - Presbyterian Westchester Division - White Plains, NY
- Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston, TX
- Shriners Hospital for Children - Intermountain in Salt Lake City, UT
- St. Francis Hospital - Mountain View, MO
- St. John’s Hospital - Washington, MO
The mission of ASHE is to provide members with up-to-date information detailing the standards and codes applicable to healthcare facilities. Information and guidance is provided through ongoing educational programming and comprehensive publications. Members of ASHE include facilities managers, clinical engineering/ medical equipment managers, and engineers. Additional participants include professionals from healthcare design, safety, and construction, as well as facilities management.
