Drager Monitor Worn by Patients, Improves Mobility

Drager introduced a new product for patient monitoring, the Infinity M300. This devices provides ongoing patient monitoring while supporting mobility. The new monitoring tool offers advantages because of the smaller size and the fact that is more portable while still providing the performance of a standard-size monitoring system.

This device monitors both heart rate, SpO2, ECG, and electrode status with continuous standalone monitoring. In addition, the tool has algorithms incorporated which enhance the processing of ECGs. Processing tools include an arrhythmia analysis tool and pacer detection software. This diminishes the occurrence of false alarms.

The alarm components of the system deliver alerts both at the patient’s bedside and the CentralStation offered by Drager. Both audio and visual alarms are incorporated. Device power is delivered with an internal battery which can be recharged with a multi-device charger at a central station or a bedside charger.

With the addition of 802.11b WiFi technology, the M300 provides continuous standalone monitoring. This is maintained even if patients inadvertently leave the wireless coverage area. This also completes two-way communication with the Infinity Central Station.
