New CPAP Devices Introduced by Covidien
Covidien announced the launch of the Sandman Info and the Sandman Auto CPAP devices. These tools will expand the company’s line of products to treat patients with sleep disorders.
Both these new Sandman devices are continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices. These two new tools from Covidien expand the line of systems that include the company’s Adaptive Pressure Stability technology, along with heated humidification.
The Sandman product line is the first one available that is an all-in-one CPAP device. Both the Sandman Auto and the Sandman Info were created to support stable and smooth airflow to patients during sleep, recognizing the unique needs of each patient dependent upon their sleep breathing patterns.
The new Sandman Info CPAP system extends the existing features that were included in the Sandman Intro CPAP, which was described on HospitalBuyer following its launch. One key benefit of this product line is the improved rate of patient compliance.
