Closed Suction System Cleared for Market
Kimberly Clark announced the availability of their new closed suction system, the Ballard Trach Care Closed Suction System. This tool is indicated to help take care of those patients with a tracheotomy or tracheostomy site.
The Ballard tool helps clinicians remove secretions that intrude into the airway. This promotes ventilation, as well as delivery of oxygen therapy while suctioning is completed.
The system also provides protection to caregivers during tracheotomy maintenance and cleaning procedures. It minimizes the likelihood of caregiver exposure to bodily fluids from patients, which minimizes the risk of both cross contamination and infection.
