Rigel Electromedical Test Kit Introduced
Rigel announced the launch of their new electromedical test, the 288. The system is a IEC 62353 compliant tester and includes an array of Bluetooth enabled accessories. The company press release notes that this is the only universal system that is currently available.
The new system supports testing on medical devices as completed by biomedical engineering personnel in healthcare facilities. Both post repair and recurrent testing can be completed with the Rigel 288. Bluetooth connections can be used for wireless connections to label printers, bar code scanners, and additional accessories.
The system is both handheld and lightweight with a simplified menu for users. Basic instructions are used for simple operation of the system, including test control. Three test modes are available: manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic testing. The system incorporates a long life battery, which reduces the amount of device downtime.
Results from electrical safety tests can be stored with the system during routine and preventative maintenance. Users can further specify inspections and measurements from a variety of electromedical equipment. Users can purchase comprehensive database software for managing assets, creating test sequences, downloading results, scheduling maintenance, and producing certificates of test results.
