Two St. Jude’s Defibrillators Approved

The FDA approved two new devices to treat individuals with heart failure and arrhythmias, the Current implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and Promote cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D).

These are the first devices from St. Jude’s to receive FDA approval based on a new hardware/software solution for implantable devices. The common base will facilitate upgrades.
