Laser Device Launched by Cutera

The Pearl Fractional system for aesthetic treatments was recently launched by Cutera, Incorporated. The company is targeting the fractional ablative market with this new device.

The Pearl Fractional delivers 2790 nm wavelengths to confined thermal zones of the dermis. One benefit of this approach is reduced downtime after surgery. One clinician notes that this wavelength optimizes the ratio between coagulation and ablation and control thermal damage at the same time.

The system is indicated to treat deep levels of the dermis for signs of aging. The Pearl Fractional is the only device available that uses 2790 nm. Cutera offers a range of different light-based and laser aesthetic systems.
