Clotting Detection Tests Unveiled
Dade Behring, Incorporated unveiled their new D-dimer coagulation test at the meeting of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostatis on July 6th. The test is indicated for diagnosis of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis with validated sensitivity to exclude either of these clotting conditions.
The Innovance D-DIMER represents the next generation of testing for D-dimer. The simple and easy to use blood test is fully automated. Evaluation must be completed with one of the coagulation systems that are manufactured by Dade Behring.
Studies are ongoing to assess the validity of using the Innovance D-DIMER for other conditions associated with clotting such as coagulation disorders during pregnancy, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), and risk of rethrombosis.
Dade Behring is the largest company throughout the world to develop clinical diagnostic products. The company’s Hemostasis Division is also the manufacturer of the most hemostasis tests and analyzers worldwide.
