Software Calculates Bone

Toshiba America Medical Systems developed a new software system to automate bone subtraction employed with CT angiography to evaluate neurologic disease.

The software, still being evaluated, can dramatically reduce the time required to complete the imaging study. Estimates cited by Toshiba for the lessened timeframe near 90 percent.

The software will be made available for acquisition with the manufacturer’s line of CT scanners.
