Liver Imaging Application Launched
Median Technologies developed a clinical application that can monitor liver lesions across time for evaluation and follow-up purposes. The system, LMS-Liver, just received marketing approval from the FDA.
LMS-Liver expands the portfolio of products to monitor gastrointestinal lesions. This application works with liver images obtained by CT scanning and supports evaluation of size.
Comparison of lesion size across time is accomplished by pairing lesions and overlaying the images. The software determines aggressiveness of lesions by calculating doubling time and growth.
Also included with LMS-Liver is software which automatically generates reports using the standardized RECIST criteria, which evaluates treatment response.
The newly blessed application is an element of Median’s portfolio of systems that support evaluation of lung, liver, and colon lesions called Median Lesion Management Solutions (LMS). The applications include automated tools that support viewing images, detection of lesions, quanitification of the anomalies, and assessment across time.
