New High Def Ultrasound Launched

Royal Philips Electronics announced the launch of the company’s new high definition ultrasound system, the HD15. The system will join the company’s line of high performance ultrasound systems.

This device incorporates an entirely new system platform to support improvements in the clarity of images procured. In addition, the system will be useful in a broader array of clinical settings during the delivery of everyday care.

Incorporated in the HD15 are an array of usability features and others which support ease of use and productivity of staff members using the system. These are integrated to support workflow improvements and system utility for different specialty areas and an array of different imaging procedures.

Also included in the system are more advanced device features. One such is the company’s PureWave transducer technology and contrast enhanced ultrasound. These features support performance of guidance during real time, as well as ongoing assessment of minimally invasive procedures. Such provides clinicians with increased information during completion of technically difficult procedures.

Limited adjustments are required to procure sharp images and uniformity in tissue through the company’s Microfine EX. This is achieved with a new dynamic receive lens tuning that incorporates more focal points than earlier systems.
