Siemens Total Image Matrix to Provide CT-like Worflow

Siemens Medical Solutions new total image matrix (Tim) includes a continuously moving table. This makes the imaging technology similar to CT functioning.

The moving table allows continuous reconstruction of the image while the table is moving. It simultaneously supports workflow efficiency in the radiology suite and especially for technologists.

At this point, the technology is geared for applications in the central nervous sytem and MR angiography. It is expected for wide release by July 2007 and can be acquired as an upgrade to a current system or an additional option for a new one.
