X-Ray/CR System Available in U.S.
Carestream Health, Inc. will begin distributing its new portable x-ray generator and CR system in Europe and the US. The system was developed in collaboration with Siemens Medical Solutions.
The CR-ITS 560 entails a single unit with both an x-ray unit and a CR reader which are easily transported. The combined system allows verification of adequate imaging quality at the time the study is completed.
Also addressed by the system are means to incorporate the information systems from the hospital and the radiology department. This can facilitate workflow efficiency by providing technologists with worklists.
The portable x-ray system was developed by Siemens and is coupled with the CR system from Carestream.
